Munoz gets swift Glasner reunion at Nottingham Forest

Daniel Munoz has once again linked up with Oliver Glasner after joining Nottingham Forest from Crystal Palace.

Munoz has been one of the standout full-backs in the Premier League since he joined Palace from Genk in 2024.

Since he made his Premier League debut in February 2024, Munoz has contested more duels (916), attempted more tackles (253) and won more tackles (164) than any other defender in the competition.

His 20 goal involvements also top the charts for Premier League defenders in that time.

And Forest have now spent a reported £22m to bring in the 30-year-old, who helped Glasner’s Palace win the FA Cup, Community Shield and Conference League.

"I’m really excited because I can see so much talent, Forest is a team with great players, great qualities and great skills on the pitch, I can’t wait to get out there so I can help my new team-mates and I think that we’re going to do great things," said the Colombian, who has penned a three-year contract with the option for an extra year.

"The first thing is that this is a winning club. I think that when this is the expectation, the mentality, both for the management and the technical team, and for the players, this makes it special.

"It is a club that’s fought hard in recent years, it has competed hard, it got to the semi-finals of the Europa League and I think it has even greater objectives for the future, and really this is what I like about Forest, and that’swhy I decided to come here."

Glasner said after Forest’s 2-2 draw with Liverpool on Saturday that Forest were working on several new additions ahead of the transfer deadline on Tuesday.

Forest had been hoping to sign Everton youngster Harrison Armstrong, but after facing fan backlash, the Toffees’ ownership reportedly pulled the plug on selling the 19-year-old.
