Onyeka wants to help Coventry ‘stay in the Premier League’ after completing permanent move

Frank Onyeka has set his sights on helping Coventry City "stay in the Premier League" after completing his move from Brentford.

The midfielder joined Coventryin January on a loan deal, which included a clause to ensureit would become permanentif the Sky Blues were promoted.

Onyeka played 14 times as Frank Lampard’s side won the Championship, and securedtheir return to the top flight after 25 years away.

And the 28-year-old is notjust targeting survival with the West Midlands outfit, who begin their Premier League campaign away tochampions Arsenal on August 21.

"I’m really excited for the new season with Coventry," Onyeka told the club’smedia channels.

"When I first joined last season, I came here with two goals: to win the Championship and help Coventry get promoted to the Premier League.

"I’m really happy to now be a Coventry player back in the Premier League.I will give everything to the team, fight for every ball, fight for my team-mates and bring my experience.

"My ambition now is to help the team stay in the Premier League and finish as high as we can."
